Auto ID on VP-290 Reply

 I have got a VP-290 to replace my old VP-280
with the VP-290 I can not use the "AUTO ID" function as with the VP-280,
The "AUTO ID" "SECU." "CONFIG" and "SVF" buttons can not be used.

Is it that I did not set up properly or the VP-290 do not support?

 Vp-290dn"t support AUTO ID and SVF. Other buttons will be used when the chip has the those function.

I use the programmer mainly for 28 pins Eproms,
what other model programmmer support "AUTO ID" function?
