Purchased new vp598 as my vp280 died.
I have just noticed that it does not show 2716a eprom(s) in device list.
How can I resolve this?

 VP598 do not support Vpp 25V　chip.

 Found a solution, due to no real support!
Purchased a GQ-4x4 by mcmull Electronics.
It has programmed everything i have thrown at it and without a power
adapter attached so far.
Regular updates and good support..

 VP598 support 26000+ chips. GQ-4x4 only support 3000 chips.
