 Hi,i have a Wellon VP598 when erase and programming flash AM29F040B DIP32 (20 pcs same problem) received this error,i tested it on another usb programmer this is working fine!

This chip is protected. This programmer can"t provide its unprotect method.

 This chip is protected. because hardware, VP598 can"t provide its unprotect method.
please use VP998/VP798
