 Hello.
VP980 and S29GL128N11FFIS3 is support ?
The pinout in database is correct ?

In this pdf is different:
http://www.spansion.com/datasheets/s29gl128_256n_sp_a2_e.pdf
and pinout on this pdf is consistent on my PCB BGA pin.
How, for example, VCC( H3,G4,A6 )pin, GND( H6,H4 )pin , NC ( B6,C6,D6,E6 ...) pin.

 We have downloaded the datasheet s29gl128_256n_sp_a2_e.pdf.
I can see the FBGA pin is not the same with our datasheet s29gl-n_00_b8_e.pdf.
But in the s29gl128_256n_sp_a2_e.pdf, we can"t see the chip type S29GL128N11FFIS3. We only see the type S29GL128N11FFIIH3.
Are you sure the datasheet is right for the S29GL128N11FFIS3?

 Yes, but pinout for PCBs is consistent with the pinout of the PDF file.

.....

I"ll try to connect as in the PDF and read as a standard S29GL128N11.
The results will inform:)

 The RY/BY is not a necessary pin when you read or write the chip.
So the RY/BY pin is not connected.

 According to the datasheet s29gl128_256n_sp_a2_e.pdf, we have add the chip S29GL128N**FFIIH. If the datasheet is right for the S29GL128N11FFIS3, you can download our new software several days later and choose
the chip S29GL128N**FFIIH to read/write S29GL128N11FFIS3 instead.
