Support for 2114 RAM ?. Reply

 I just bought a VP-280 and installed the latest version of the software. One of the reasons that I chose this programmer was to test 2114 RAM chips but I can"t find them in the device list. I then installed the older software and found that support did exist. Is there any way that 2114 support can be added back to the device list of the new software ?.

 Vp-280 "s electric circuit can not support 2114. So we remove it.

 This is a shame. It was fine just jumpering pin 18 to socket 34 on the programmer. Why remove the capability altogether? Maybe you whould have left support in for the VP280 but with a note in the software (and diagram if needed) mentioning the need to jumper Pin 18.
I"ll have to stick with the earlier software now.

 I also used my 280 a lot for testing 2114 and other 18 pin ram.
Please put it back in next sotware update. Powering with a jumper to
pin 18 works very well
