2716 Burning problem Reply

 I have a Vp-280 programmer and am trying to burn some 2716 eproms. When I select “prog” the program hangs for about a minute then displays the following message. I have tried about 10 x ST M2716A-2FI eproms and also MBM2716.　Should the Vp-280 be able to program these?

 VP-280 can not support 2716.

 If this unit cannot support 2716, why the software has this chips for selection.SGS-Thomson 2716A and ST 2716A Eprom can be selected in the VP280 chips list

 VP-280 can support ST M2716A,but VP-280 can not support MBM2716.
your chip maybe badly.
