VP-280 self test fails Reply

 Hello,
I have a VP-280. When I do a self test I get error VCC output is low (P38). All other test are OK. The voltage check 5V, 12V and 21V are also OK. What can I do/repair myself? This error is propably the reason why some eproms (27512) are read as blank eproms even if they do contain data. I"m using the latest software and firmware.

 Hi,
Me again. If I"m right P38 leads to V44 (HY2D PNP transistor). When I check the B (-) to E (+) and B to C (+) with my diode tester I read 683mV. From C (+) to E (-) I read 820mv (or 18Mohm with resistance meter). All other combinations are zero. The 820mv must be normal because the C is connected to other transistors in circuit. What can I test next? The V44 connects then to RB31 (202 8pin).

The VP280 has two boards: 380BOTTOM-7 and 380TOP-2.

 Please replace V39 on the top board.It is a transistor,SS8550,PNP model,25V/1.5A.
