 I"m programming ST M27C160 and ST M27C800 and getting this error:

I used different Eproms but still got this error. Last month I have no problems with those eproms and I even programmed today a ST M271000 with NO errors??I"m using a VP-390 S/N 3903-1302 with system software 4.6.1. System update doesn"t seems to work. What can I do?

 Hello!
Did you erase the chip with UV eraser? Please erase this chip with UV eraser, and the eraser time should be 30 minutes at least.

I have it now also on other EPROMS like 27C010A. What can I do? I"m on Firmware 18.0

 Hello, I"ve tried 10 different Eproms. They all gave the same error. I"don"t think the chips are bad I think its the programmer. Can I adjust the algorythm parameters? Now VCC=5 V and VPP=12,50 V. I read the 27C160 datasheet and found VCC=6,25.

 When we will read the M27C160, the vcc is 5v. And when writing it, the vcc is 6.25v. We have supported 6.25v in our software when writing this chip.

 ok thnx for the answer. Still two questions: 1. is there another way to check if the programmer is working correctly besides the one provided in the software? 2. How can I test these Eproms?

 Today I wrote all the EPROMS (M27C160 and M27C800) just fine with a Willem GQ-4X programmer with adapter. Amazing it didn"t work with my Wellon VP-390 ....... I still think its the programmer (or the software)
