(Note that some time ago I had similar problem with AMIC A290021T.　Maybe same issue?)

 On a whim, I tried erasing a A29040B with A290021T (the chip that I had you investigate and fix a year or so back.)

To my surprise, it erases fine.

You probably need to look at what you fixed with A290021T and copy that config across to A29040B
