VP-280 Firmware Error

For langer Time I tried to update the Firmware of my VP-280 (or was it Autoupdate - I can"t remember anymor) and now it"s dead.

Is there a way to recover, to reflash or what else?
(Like for the VP-390?)

If I plug in the USB (without Powersupply) only the red LED lids.

I tried it with shorting JP1 (like the VP390) and with the right Softwareversion (4.3.4) it worked

Wellon VP 280 problem with Windows 8

Hi!

I have a problem with my Wellon VP 280 under Windows 8 .64 bits.
Before I had no problem but now yes:? .
I have the following message when starting the software
I tried everything uninstallation reinstall driver, hardware ect.
I even did the trick of jumping the jumper J1 as he asks for a reboot micro programmer software and　update again but still nothing
The LEDs are active but when the software checks the programmer, the green LED goes off and the error message appears:?

Initialization Problem with GP-20

Hello! MY GP-20 can not be initialized. It is showing that there are some IC in the socket eventhough there is no IC in the socket or ISP is not connected. Need your help on urgent basis as it is more than 12 days that I have purchased this programmer and till now I have not used it properly. Every time I go to use it I have different kind of proble. I am telling my problem you from last 10-12 days till now no solution of any problem every time new problem.

299 reads different checksum than file

I have a VP299 and when I load a hex file I get one checksum. When I program a chip and then read it back the checksum is different. I am only writing program memory.

it is not bug. if you need know if program correctly,please use "Verify" or run "Edit"-->"CheckSum".

System error! id=2

My VP390 running on Windows XP, starts and self-tests OK,
but when I read, verify or program an EPROM (e.g. 27C64) it reports
"system error! id=2".
The programmer was previously working OK, with the same devices.
What does this error message mean?

My programmer say it is a VP-190, but runs only in demo-mode.

I just repair the power supply, but still the same thing.
Upgrade to 4.7.3 does not solve this.

According to the IC list, the VP-280 supports the Cypress CY7C291A Eproms. However I am having trouble burning these EPROMS. Every time I do a read after a burn, the buffer is just full of "FF". Any suggestions?

My VP-880 has stopped programming!

My VP-880 has stopped programming reporting "Communication error!"

Things I have tried:
Self Test - Passes
Voltage Tests - All read OK
Replaced the USB Cable - Same result
I/O Tests - I don"t have the correct adapter for this test!

Are there any further test(s) I can carry out?

In the event that this needs repairing (?) do you have repair centers in the UK? Or will it need to be returned to you?

Flashing Atmega with VP598

How do you program Atmega chips with the VP598?

I"ve tried both Atmega8 and Atmega328P chips. The software reports that it has programmed fine, but when I use the chips in their circuits they don"t work.

Once programmes with the Wellon, I can no longer erase / read / write to the chips via a traditional USB ISP programmer and software.

Hi, I"ve just received 5 x MX29F040C Flash ROMs from RS UK. When programming they are all failing at exactly the same address (when the same data is being programmed). Are there any known issues with programming this part?

I"ve verified the programmer is still programming other similar Flash parts OK e.g. MX29LV640E and AM29F032B.

VP390 on Windows 10

I have a VP390 and wish to install it on a new Windows 10 laptop.　
The website indicates I need software version 4.7.1.　

I downloaded the file DISK471 and installed it, but when run it does
not recognise the VP390, and pops up the list of programmers
supposedly supported by version 4.7.2.

Is there a version of the software that will actually work with the
VP390 on Windows 10, and if so, where?
