VP-598 and NVR2 2k*8 Reading

Hey, I am repairing old German automatic tool machine. .
It has parameters in NV ram NVRZ 2k*8. I can"t read it and save it so that I can replace old RAM with a newer M28Z02.

How I can set your programmer that I can read the old ram?

Hey, I found E/Eprom device, which can read my M48Z02 and write my devices although　it is not just right. Still I wonder why I can"t read with SRAM devices?

VP-996 programmer not seeing adaptor

I have a VP-996 Universal programmer
I can program EEPROMs with it
however, when I tell it to program my 68pin CPU through an adaptor I get this message:

>>Do not find Adapter! Set Adaptor: Run <Read> without chip on the adapter!

The CPU I am trying to program is a pic17c756a-33/L.
This is a new error for me, I have used this exact programmer/adaptor combo many times before.

No matter the config/settings, or if the adaptor is even plugged in, same message

Has anyone solved this?

Read algo file error VP-299

Hi,
I am programming an AMD AM27C400 with the VP-299 - I get the message:
Read algo file error
I am using the latest version of the software 4.7.4
Any ideas as to what this error is?
The chip programs fine on the VP598 my dad has.
Other chips program fine on the VP-299 - so it looks like possibly a software problem

Problem read M430FG4619 on VP998

Hi.
I"m having trouble reading and writing the texas instruments M430FG4619 by ISP.
In the wellon software we have the option MSP430FG4619 for ISP.
Am I selecting the correct component in the wellon software?
The software returns the reading successfully, but with all FF data.
I followed the connection diagram on the component pins as instructed in the ISP manual of the WELLON software.

Probelm testing 74 ICs on VP-290

Hello,

I"m having a problem testing a SN74HC74N IC. When I open the test page, the software says "When testing 14 pin devices connect a line between P27 and P28".

The problem is, if I do connect a line between P27 and P28 the test FAILS. If I dont connect the line the test passes. The IC is brand new and working, so I know it should pass the test, but it doesnt pass if I connect the line as instructed by the software.

What is wrong here??

Erasing atmega328P sets fuses not to manufacturer default. Where is fuse setting (used for erase function) stored? I must set fuses manually everytime after erasing. Can I edit fuse settings used for erase function (simply set them according to manufacturer default)? Thanks

VP998 noise

Dear Wellon,

my VP998 has a strange issue, when it is writing or reading from the chip, it makes a very loud, high-pitched noise.
I attach a video, please let me know, if this is a problem, or is it only bad for my ears. I have tried with other external power supply, but the problem stays.

Seems it erased fine but when programming throws error always the same:

VP480 programmer does not program anymore.
Software: 4.2.0 (08/12/2009)

Read chips fine.
Not able to auto-detect chips
Pass all self-tests. "System Test OK!"
But when measuring programming voltages
VCC Cal. (3V) => 3.1214V
VPP0 Cal. (12V) => 6.88V
VPP1 Cal. (12V) => 6.88V
VPP0 Cal. (25V) => 6.88V
VPP1 Cal. (25V) => 6.88V　
all measured with external Power Adapter connected and showing 9.00V

Please suggest which components I should change.

I am using the vp998 programmer, even if you dont connect any cables it does not check the isp connection, when you issue the read command it reads smoothly and finally says reading ok
Why is it not checking for wrong connection or wrong pin?

Hi, I wanted to ISP flash winbond 25Q256JVFQ but ISP mode option do not show when I select this chip, how to do this? I"m sure ISP programming is supported for this chip , there is even SPI output on PCB I"m trying to fix.
Additonally software pointing to use this adapter

This is getting ridiculous.
25Q128FVSG Reading seven different check sums is always the same as the first :)
The problem with displaying the check amount is with many ICs on this programmer.

I have to programming MCU 70F3368GJ. If I choose NEC uPD70F3368GJ the READ button is greyed. Erase and Blank are enabled and their use ending without error.
When I choose Renesas uPD70F3368GJ,　all buttons are enable (including READ) but not working correctly. All ending with error.
I use VP990 with ISP wires.
READ function is very need to read original flash from different processor.

I"ve read mcu MC9S08SH32 through vp998 in isp mode. In the files it shows that the mcu is 32kb but the information I put in was 164kb. What is the explanation of this?

Now LEDs are off,the computer does not recognize the device. How can I repair this?

MY early VP990 i used 9 years without problems, this VP998 always problem, first problem can not read some BGA memory chips,that"s why I wanted to update system, second problem bigger programmer is death and I can"t work now.

I have your programmer WP-390.
When I want to read M27C256,
I get a Programmer trouble! ID error: 39AA37BE1400002B.

I check + 5v in the self test and get 4.45v without a power supply,
and 4.85 with a power supply.

Has anyone encountered such a problem?

My VP299 is programming ATF16LV8C chips fine, without AC adapter. When trying to program ATF22LV10C chips it asks for an AC adapter. When I plug this in and try to program, it reports "Over Current Detected!".

I don"t think it"s the chips. They are brand new and I tried more than one. What could be the problem?

Increasing the value of the resistor is to promote the band of protecting circuit.It"s no problem for other chips.Also, the screws are under the rubber bumpers.
