How to get the newest devices list

I found your website when I was searching for a programmer. I downloaded specifications and lists. It seems that VP-280 is good but I couldn"t find AT89S8253 or SST89E58RDA in its device list (dated 2008-8-21) though a Chinese friend having VP-280 told me he is able to program AT89S8253. So I wonder how we can get the newest list for say VP-280 and VP-380 in the least. Thank you.

Stating Reason for Software changes

I notice the software is updated every few days or so. It would be helpful if you could state what is contained in the new release/update. For example: Fix bugs for <model>, Added support to <model> for <devices>. This way we could know if we should download the software. Just posting the new/updated software makes it hard to know if it is something needed for my unit. This could also be provided as a pdf file.

I want to know NAND FLASH programming with vp890.Your soft can not
suupport some function: Bad block:skip bad block:ecc mode;UBA;
RBA.How can i handle bad block before programming.I want to duplicate
nand flash IC.So I want to check bad block to skip this block,how can I do.
Can you support above function?I want to duplicate MP4 player nand flash.

Problem saving data

When I read an eprom the newest version of the software saves an extra 100 bytes.

I have tried this with a　2732 and 27c010 and the same thing happens,

I am saving the data as a binary .bin file

I just don"t get it... It"s a nice feature, nobody doubt that, but why won"t you make it as it is in fact, only a feature. People who want to use it should be able to switch on this feature, people who do not want to use it should be able to switch it off. It is like the "Save file" function. Maybe I do not want to save the file I read, than I simply do not press the save file button. It would be frustrateing if the SW would automatically save the file (I hope you never make it this way :) ).
　　I bought the Wellon programmer because I want to work fast, I do not want to edit the file size every time I save a file.All I am asking is just an option to be able to switch on or off this extra byte saving feature.

We tested it with VP-990, program and verify the whole flash will take about 4000s.And you can change the parameter "Device End Addr"(in the "Device Operation Options") to program the beginning sector only.

I usevp 180　to program　logic chips (2years now..) . Today it failed me for a first time. Eventhough docs say it is able to programm lattice gal22v10d, process ends with PROGRAM FAIL.

I have no problem with gal 20v8 and others.

VP-280 autodetect

The auto detect function has stopped working on my VP-280 programmer.

When I press the autodetect button, it pauses for 5-10 seconds then has the error ">> write fig file err!!".

The programmer works fine in all other functions, and the auto detect used to work fine.

I have the power adapter connected.

Which programmer / adapter

I want to re-program AT29C1024 that are in some Baytech rpc3-20 PDUs.

AT29C1024 *44PL　　Adapter: Wellon WL-PL44-U1
AT29C1024 *44PLCC　Adapter: Wellon WL-PL44-P4

The chip I have does not have any suffix - just AT29C1024.

It is in a square 44 pin package (I assume this package is PLCC but I am new to this chip and package names).

Which programmer is best 480 vs 980
How do I know which Adapter works for the chip.
I do not want to purchase the wrong one.

The programmer VP-980　is better than VP-480.The quantity of VP-980 is more than VP-480.Both the programmer VP-480 and VP-980 can support AT29C1024.They can use two adapters PL44-U1 and PL44-P4.You had better select PL44-U1.Because this type is all-purpose,the scope is more biger.

If your chip has window, you can use ultraviolet rays to erase. If it has not window, the chip only can program once.

Why save the file size is big?

Customers are notified of the problem.
Why save the file size is big?
Save an empty file is 1124 bytes?
Should be 1024 bytes 1124 bytes file is saved.
I have to continuously adjust the buffer size would be.
How can solve this problem?
No other programmer this problem.

When the user save the file,the software will save a file automatically ,that the file is 100 byte more than the chip size.Usually,the 100 bytes is used to save config byte.So When you save 1024 byte file,the file size is 1124 byte.

VP280 - TTL Test for 74LS670

Hi - can you confirm if the 74LS670 test on the VP-280 actually works? It says that 2 old chips are faulty, but gives the same error with 4 new chips I have just bought. They could all be faulty but it couldalso be a bad test script, they are very uncommon chips.

I just downloaded the latest software (May 22, 2009). When I go to Help/Device List, I get a run-time error: Could not find file c:\weilei\WELLON\lib\eprom1.mdb

I looked in that directory and did not find the mentioned file. I reloaded the software and have the same problem.

I have a satellite reciver have achip number S29AL016MXXTF-R1 I read　the chip -read ok　compare ok--and when i write the same data to　　　another chip ..programming ok .compare ok but the satellite receiver didnot work..i tried many chips..is the chip protected or the dump protected.. the problem just this model of receivers　i have vp-880 and vp -890

Because this chip S29AL016M has a secured silicon sector region which may be protected before. Once this sector is protected, no further changes within the sector can occur. So when you replace one chip to another, it may possibly have some problems.

Helo ! The Samsung K9WAG08U1A Eprom, in the original Samsung site data 2GB Eprom, but the Wellon program read 1GB, it"s not o.k. ! These Eprom is 2GB, not 1GB ! I these Eprom read one original program, and the software in the Eprom is damaged. K9WAG08U1A (16GigaBit) = 2GB, and not 1GB ! Please corrected the program... Thanks.. and sorry my dicky english...

The Samsung K9WAG08U1A is a mass flash memory. So we divide the memory into two parts. They are K9WAG08U1A(0) and K9WAG08U1A(1).So if you want to read/write the data in 0-1GB, you can select K9WAG08U1A(0).And select K9WAG08U1A(1) to read/write the data in 1GB-2GB. I have problem with programming k9g8g08u0m... when i try to flash this chip I get an error with random adress on the same chip, this chip is in 100% good. In my opinion this is not a bad sector"s. Only one time I have successful programming on 50 times. I try other tPW and retry...

When I load *.bin 1,03GB file the checksum is 0000 when i try another file 1,03GB checksum is still 0000 (4 digits !!!!!)

on this chip the led "link" is still on not blinking while programing

I have vp-990

when I check "DEVICE OPERATION OPTIONS" I　reported that maximum "device end addr" is 83FFFFF and maximum "buffer size" is 8400000 when I need 42000000!!!

VP-480 broken

Hi,

　My VP-480 stopped working (it is in warranty). Worked very good until a few days ago when I began getting errors in programming devices. I programmed devices on another programmer and they were good. I also did reset (as in manual) No fix. I ran self-test: Pin 23 Input is High, VPP output is high.

　I live in the United States, so not easy to send back to China. Is there a company here in the US that can fix my VP-480 for me?

2114 Test Fail

I installed the latest version of the software and then used a piece of wire to short pin 18 of the 2114 to the pin above it on the ZIF socket (pin 34) and it tested a 2114 fine.

VP-480 - program AM27C100 problem

Hi, i"m trying to program an AM27C100 with my VP-480. I use tha last version of Software 4.2. I get error on auto id test "vp3slt - the device isnt supported". Also if i try to program it i get error "poor contact on pin38" and while ignoring the error and go on with programing "Device Address:000000H　Device Data:FFH　Buffer Address:000000H　Buffer Data:11H >>Program fail!" Any advice what to do? Eprom is empty - blank check is good.

Am27C100 is an older chip.So you had better affirm if your chip is OK,or not.

Please advice if there is something special to be done before read / erite procedure for mentioned MCU? This type of MCU was rightly chosen from device list....

P87C52UBPN can only be programmed one time.If the device is encryption, you can not read.

VP-380 and AM29F400BB

Synoptic

In the device list in software version 4.2, the AM29F400BB and AM29F800BB are listed as 48 pin, but they are also 44 PIN format.

How can I program a 44PIN ? can you add this device to the list ?
