Hi, can you please add support for the 48 TSOP version of the 29F1610A to the VP-890? The 44 SOP version seems to be supported but I need support for the 48 TSOP version. Here is a datasheet:

OK, I was using the 1/26 software before. I installed the 1/27 version and it seems to be working correctly. It still shows the bad connections but if I ignore the message and read it, it reads and gives the same CRC each read now. The data looks good. Thanks! I will let you know if I run into anymore problems with them. I still have some testing to do but it appears to be working correctly so far. By the way, I think your software zip download might be corrupted but the exe download worked OK.

Hello. I have read that these programmers are the same, just the 990 is an export version. Is this correct? And if so, why does the 990"s support list have more devices than the 890?

It"s not a problem because software shows clearly which pin crossing must be done but what is "BYTE * 35". How do I define the correct pin of my IC to put it in pin35 of my 48pin ZIFSocket?

How to properly read and erase/write M28F102-120K1 in plcc44 ?
VP 480 recognize M28F102 but shows info that not support this memory.

I got plcc-dip44 adapter, can read, after few try can erase, but not possible to correct write.

I have a VP-490 programmer, socket adapter (Plcc44 to dip44) and I would like to read and reprogram a Novatek NT68F63LG processor, but at every read I get different values, and almost all byte"s "FD".
I don"t know if this proc. read protected or I have other problem as I have no datasheet for the processor. I know that somewhere people can read and reprogram this processor with success.

Any idea?

but in program option in Select device is disabled.

VP-280 Doesn"t work

Hi,　we had a power cut, the Vp-280 was plugged into the mains and also the USB socket. When the program starts It nevers sees the programmer, sometimes I get "write fig file err" error message or the initialise bar　gets halfway.　I have tried re-installing the program and tried on another PC and can"t get it to work.Can I send it for repair? I am in the UK.

VP490 and Intel DT28F320S3

Hello,

I have a VP490 programmer and I want to program some flash chips : intel DT28f320S3. The programming ended without a problem but when I try to use the flash chips on intended device, I get errors that the flash is read-only. I"ve checked with intel datasheet, and there is an option to lock the sectors/blocks. How can I check system parameters/configuration with the programmer to find out if the flash is locked or not?

MT29F64G08 is large capacity nand_flash. it is unfit using universal programmer. only read the chip, need time is about 5 hour!!

How long did you earse the chip by ultraviolet radiation eraser? Please erase it 40 minutes at least.The chip can be erased blank.You can programm it again.Please try it again.

Hello, i read a new blank chip cypress cy7c291 to verify but　checksum 0007F800, i tried with another one it reads the same finally　read the master but　 reads exactly the same values. i gues if i read 100 they will read the same i am really very disaponted with this machine, i have just bought it because　 i just wanted to copy tms27c040　but the machine has problems with both devicess , tomorrow i will return it back to the store.

The chip 25040 didn"t have erase function. You can programm this chip directly.So the ERASE button is turned off.This chip have Block Protection. Please click the Config botton,and select it according your need.And then click the Prog Config in the software right.

I noticed a problem with the connection in the VP-980 via an adapter with a series of agreements ebga64 S29GL128xxxxxx whether this can be improved.

PROM/ROM reading support on VP980

Please add support for generic reading PROM/ROMs 23xx series (2316, 2332, 2364, 23128, 23256,...). All this PROM/ROM chips have little pinout difference compared with 27xx eprom series.
All chips can be read with "home made" pin adapters and selecting 27xx but please make support for this chips for reading directly into programmers socket with no need any wire acrobatics with wires :-)
Programming option must be disabled in software.

I sent to you all datasheets I have but you say 23xxx series ROMs are read-only memory, they don’t need program.
GALEP programmer have option for reading 23xx mask ROMs (please download their software) why WELLON　can"t do the same?
This will be great feature for backup mask ROM and program EPROM for replacement.

I"m not satisfied with the response. I bought two years ago new VP-980 (19.09.2008) and paid 455USD+35USD shipping from China. This is not old for me. I know that chips are old but they are easier to include in the support. I can"t every year to buy a new programmer for regular technical support. I use programmer for repair electronics and old computers and games.

Please can you make lighter grey background on Logic analyzer. Red line is seen less... maybe you can implement setup for color settings under menu of Logic analyzer for background, vertical lines and trace lines?...
Also can you change font in buffer editor? Higher font... Curier regular size 10 like in WinHex looks perfect...

I have a programmer VP-590, and I want to records memories X28C64 XICOR.I read the memory ok, but when I burn it, some address never burn (1540H to 157F) I have 13 memories with the same problem. If I burn on a CATLYST o ATMEL, the burn is correct, but not on a XICOR. I download the last version WELLON software but did not work. THANKS

Please make sure your chip is not secured.If the chip is not secured, you can put your chip on the programmer"s socket and click "read",then put a new chip on the progremmer"s socket,click "prog".
