Hi, I have the VP-290 programmer and I use Wellon Universal Programmer Ver.: 4.3.1(2010-07-21) and always when I trying to programm the EPROM TMS27C256-10 manufactured by Texas Instruments I have the message:

Please use AC adapter. And your chip had been erased more than 30 minutes.

VP280 and PIC16F628A

Hi, i need to write some PIC16F628A and the programmer doesnt write correctly, i write the pic and the program gicen to me OK, i verify and the same, OK. But when i will test it on my circuit board its doesnt works. I have another programmer and with the other one i can write the same pic and it works on my circuit board. Do you know why this programmer doesnt write correctly this pic or its neccesary to configure some options??? I need your help.

Its neccesary to programme configure .So When you want to program PIC16f628A, you can do as follows:
　 1,Please select PIC16f628A in our software.
　 2,Please load the HEX file properly.
　 3,Click "Config"　button, select options according your need ,and then click "OK".
　 4,Select "Erase\Blank Check" and "Program\Verify" and "Prog Config" in　"Edit Auto" on the right side screen.
　 5,Last clilk "Prog" button.

VP-480 fails to program TMS2532

My VP-480 programmer fails to program TMS2532. It programs very slowly, and when it finishes, the EPROM is still blank.I tried 4 different chips, all of them brand new.

I have a vp-280 and am currently working on　an Atmel avr project. Is the vp-280 capable of isp; in system programming. Chip insertion into the target board many times is not fun. My thought is to build a cable adapter to go from vp-280 to board. I am not sure of vp280 programming method for avr; HVserial,parallel,spi,etc...

Cant connect VP 280 on XP

I am having issues trying to connect my VP 280 to win xp

It was working fine the other night but now when i try and connect it comes up saying Warning Program Trouble Programmer initializing failure.

I have tried reinstalling the program usb driver and even trying another computer and still have the same issue

What could be casuing this?

I also tried shorting out JP1 and doing a update as what the manual says but still has the same issue

Any help would be great

Hi, my new VP-490 cannot program Microchip PIC16F873A, and if I program, and after I read, it show data in diferent adresses, and if I read again, it show diferent datas, so I think it is a bug. I cannot program PIC12F675 also. Everything else is working ok, I`ve not tried another microchip microcontrollers.

VP-380 RED LIGHT

I bought a programmer VP-380 two months ago. While programming MX25L8005M2C programmer showed writing mistake. I tried with other like　MX25L8005M2C and it shows the same mistake. I tried to update firmware, but after two hours I disconnected it from computer, because nothing happened. In this time, when I connect it with the computer, on programmer lights red light. I tried to update like it is written in user manual : short circuit on JP1. Connect with PC and wait for communication. Blue (LINK) is brigted, red blinking, after 1 haur (aprox) red is off. Green led is not bright. Enter WELLONs system but did not auto update. I tried update manualy, but have an eror "system update fail".
Would you help me with this problem?

I tried to read from eprom M27C512 from ST using VP-280 using 4.3.0. However it reads as empty buffer always. When i change to version 3.9.7. Everything is working correctly. Is there software problem. Kindly look into this issue . Thanks

I have defined test pattern for IC testing.When I upgrade the software,the software require me to unistall the previous verion. After install the new version, I cannot find my defined test pattern.

Can I export my defined test pattern and import them to new version software?

Your defined test pattern has saved in the files "TEST1.LIB" and "TEST.LIB".These two files are saved at "C:\weilei\WELLON\lib"(default document folder).So before you upgrade the software, you can copy these two files to other document folder.And after install the new version, you can copy these two files back to "C:\weilei\WELLON\lib".

VP-380 after System update to Vp-280 ???

I have Vp-380 programer with firmware version 11.0
I downloaded Wellon soft 30.05.2010 (10:53) Size 24.4MB
I run system update and it went ok. Green led all ok.
I restarted software now my VP-380 is VP-280.
Firmware version 9.0 ?

What kind of UN-UPGRADE is this ?

HV paralell programing ATMEGA162

Hello

Can you add HV paralell programing for ATMEGA 162 and other?
As I see you use JTAG method for program atmega chip but in case　JTAG is disable by fusebit or SPI is disable chip can"t by programed.
HV paralell method is solution in this case.
Can you add this?

MatygaD, you are not the only one with this problem :-)

lxx, I don"t care whatever chip is gone work or not.
I have it locked and its working, I want to erase it, by that it should have default fabric fuses (enabled) since you are saying wellon is HV programmer and it can do magic things and cook my a brakefast... I DO NOT CARE, when you write something for your product it should work! It should be tested! Sure problems here and there..

Support for 2114 RAM ?.

I just bought a VP-280 and installed the latest version of the software. One of the reasons that I chose this programmer was to test 2114 RAM chips but I can"t find them in the device list. I then installed the older software and found that support did exist. Is there any way that 2114 support can be added back to the device list of the new software ?.

2716 Burning problem

I have a Vp-280 programmer and am trying to burn some 2716 eproms. When I select “prog” the program hangs for about a minute then displays the following message. I have tried about 10 x ST M2716A-2FI eproms and also MBM2716.　Should the Vp-280 be able to program these?

Wellon VP-280 I can"t update it

I have a Wellon vp280. I tryied to update the firmware and the middle the process my internet connection got frozzen. After that I can"t start my programmer. Only red led is on. I think that th firmware was erased.. I did as told in the manual at comunication error. Found the jumper JP1, shorted it and I got comunication with PC. unshorted JP1. Started Wellom Program, the programmer was initializaded but I couldn"t update programmer. Its programmer return a message: "System update fail".　What must do I ? Can I recover the firmware? I need to fix my programmer. Help me please

Hello i have VP380 buy from TOMSAD in Poland.i have problem with erase and program 29f010.when programmer erase the chip the led on programmer G/E flashing green and after few seconds flash still on red.after this i have half chip erased and half chip not. i try this on 4 chip. i dont have problem on Vilab programmer. my soft is 4.3.0 from 9/04.2010 of course i cant programm the chip

it seems to me that number of ICs which I can test with VP990 now is decreased. If I remember well, there was operational amplifiers e.g. LM324 which I could test. Now, I do not see it in list.
Till now I used old software (I do not know exact version) from last year.

Can You make it like it was (or even add more circuits for testing) ?

LM324 is not TTL.It is voltage comparator.It used in our circuit. It is tested by our old modle programmer.Now we find it is not fit VP-990. So we delete it. At the same time we delete LM339.

Hello,

I have a problem with PHILLIPS PCF8594C-2 (512x8) using my VP-480, software version 4.2.0, 27 May 2009.

When I read the chip, the programmer only reads the lower half correctly, the upper half (100H-1FFH) is read as FFH.

When I try to program the chip, the lower half is programmed and verified Ok, the upper part is FFH and does not verify.

Please advise.
